Recently introduced alongside the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, the GeForce RTX 5060 has now been officially announced by NVIDIA for release on May 19. On the same day, laptops equipped with this new GPU will also become available to consumers.
Featuring the next-generation Blackwell architecture, the GeForce RTX 5060 incorporates NVIDIA’s fifth-generation Tensor Cores and fourth-generation RT Cores. It is outfitted with GDDR7 graphics memory and adopts the PCIe Gen 5 interface. For display output, it supports the DisplayPort 2.1b standard with UHBR20 transmission rates of up to 20Gbps. Moreover, DLSS has been upgraded to version 4.0, enabling enhanced support for AI-powered rendering technologies.
With the advent of DLSS 4, a broader range of games can now benefit from AI-driven upscaling, delivering sharper image fidelity, reduced latency, and richer, smoother frame rendering. This advancement makes it possible for gamers with budget constraints to enjoy significantly improved visual performance through the GeForce RTX 5060.
Positioned as the successor to the GeForce RTX 4060, the RTX 5060 retains the same starting price point of $299 USD. For those seeking higher performance, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is available in two configurations—8GB and 16GB of video memory—priced at $379 USD and $429 USD respectively.
Laptops featuring the mobile version of the GeForce RTX 5060 will start at $1,099 USD and will support an array of NVIDIA technologies, including DLSS 4, NVIDIA ACE, RTX Remix, and Reflex 2, delivering a comprehensive suite of next-generation gaming enhancements.
