In the latest Windows 11 Build 26100.3613 (KB5053656) preview release, distributed through the Windows Insider Program, Microsoft has introduced a series of updates aimed at enhancing live captions, system settings, keyboard input, voice access, task management, and desktop widgets.
Regarding live captions, the “Copilot+ PC” models equipped with Intel and AMD processors now support real-time translation of 44 languages into English for video calls, recordings, and streaming media content.
Meanwhile, “Copilot+ PC” devices powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors now extend their translation capabilities beyond the previously supported languages—including Arabic, Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, German, Greek, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, Hindi, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, and Swedish—by adding support for Simplified Chinese translation.
For enterprise users, this update empowers IT administrators to integrate frequently used options into system settings while also expanding configuration options for enterprise-specific devices. Additionally, a new feature has been introduced to provide users with a more intuitive overview of their PC’s key specifications. Furthermore, for users in Japan, Microsoft has adjusted the display order of surnames and given names to better align with local conventions.
In terms of gaming enhancements, the virtual keyboard interface has been refined, enabling more seamless text input using Xbox controllers and other gamepads. The voice control system now supports synonymous and contextually similar command phrases, eliminating the need for users to verbatim match preset voice commands. Moreover, both Traditional and Simplified Chinese have been added to the list of supported voice control languages.
Other improvements include enhanced CPU workload monitoring, making it easier for users to track system performance. Additionally, web developers can now more conveniently integrate website content as widgets on the Windows 11 desktop. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), Microsoft has expanded the availability of lock screen widgets, allowing users to access weather, sports, and traffic updates directly from the lock screen for greater convenience.
