AMD launches Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 processor

At Computex 2024 last month, AMD officially unveiled the Ryzen AI 300 series mobile processors, and laptops equipped with these processors are now available on the market. Recently, the Ryzen AI 300 series has gained a new model: the Ryzen AI 9 HX 375. Its NPU performance has been increased from 50 TOPS in the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 to 55 TOPS, thereby boosting the processor’s total computing power from 80 TOPS to 85 TOPS.

This processor can already be found on AMD’s official website. According to the information provided, aside from the NPU’s enhanced performance, the specifications of the Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 remain consistent with those of the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. It features an architecture with 4 Zen 5 cores and 8 Zen 5c cores, totaling 12 cores and 24 threads. The L2 cache is 12MB, and the L3 cache is 24MB. The base clock speed is 2.0GHz, with a maximum boost frequency of 5.1GHz. The default TDP is 28W, with an unlockable maximum of 54W. The processor also includes an AMD Radeon 890M integrated GPU based on the RNDA 3.5 architecture, which has 16 execution units and a running frequency of up to 2.9GHz, supporting DP 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 outputs, and can connect to up to 4 displays. Additionally, it features an XDNA 2 neural processing unit (NPU), providing 55 TOPS of AI computing power, making the total processor compute power 85 TOPS.

As for which laptops will feature this processor, it is anticipated that HP’s OmniBook Ultra, announced on July 15, will be one of the first. This laptop was announced to use a Ryzen AI 300 series processor with 55 TOPS of NPU performance, making it highly likely to utilize the Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 processor. The OmniBook Ultra is expected to be available overseas in August, while details about products from other brands are currently unavailable.
