Steam Survey: Nvidia Dominates GPU Rankings, RTX 3060 Still Top
Recently, Valve released the Steam Hardware Survey results for June 2024. Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3060 remains at the top of the graphics card rankings, although its market share has decreased. Nvidia’s dominance is evident, occupying the top fifteen positions in the rankings.
In terms of specific graphics card models, the RTX 3060, while still in first place, saw its share drop by 0.51 percentage points to 5.50%. The GTX 1650 held its second place but also experienced a decline, decreasing by 0.34 percentage points to 4.04%. The RTX 4060 mobile version surged to third place, with its share increasing by 0.71 percentage points to 3.46%, marking one of the few models in the top rankings to see significant growth. The RTX 3060 Ti fell one position to fourth, with its share decreasing by 0.27 percentage points to 3.46%, closely matching the RTX 4060 mobile version. The RTX 2060 similarly dropped one position to fifth, with its share down by 0.33 percentage points to 3.31%. The RTX 3070 also fell one place, with its share decreasing by 0.33 percentage points to 3.26%.
On the AMD side, the gap remains substantial. Among RDNA 3 architecture products, the RX 7900 XTX has the highest share at 0.37%, a decrease of 0.02 percentage points from the previous month.
In this survey, Intel and AMD’s CPU shares are 65.89% and 34.11%, respectively, showing slight monthly fluctuations but remaining relatively stable. In terms of core counts, 6-core CPUs continue to dominate with a share of 33.40%, a decrease of 0.54 percentage points. Notably, 10-core CPUs saw significant growth, increasing by 0.63 percentage points to 6.00%, placing them fourth, with a considerable gap behind the third-place 4-core CPUs, which hold an 18.65% share.
Regarding operating systems, Windows 10 64-bit still holds the highest share at 49.42%, although it has decreased by 0.91 percentage points, falling below half. Windows 11 continues to gain traction, increasing by 0.55 percentage points to 46.63%, further narrowing the gap between the two.
