Phanteks Launches NV5 MKII Case
Recently, Phanteks updated their website with information about the NV5 MKII case, continuing the NV5’s pillarless, full-view side transparency design. The case has been slightly widened to support broader graphics cards and 12VHPWR power cables. The new case is also compatible with MSI and ASUS’s rear-mount motherboard series. It is now available in the Americas, with the black version priced at $109.99 and the white version at $119.99. The Asian and European releases are expected in mid-July.
Like the NV5, the NV5 MKII is a mid-tower case designed for users who desire a moderately sized case that balances aesthetics and practicality. The NV5 MKII continues the pillarless side transparency design, featuring a chamfered front panel glass. The case supports a CPU cooler height of up to 180mm, a graphics card length of up to 440mm, and a power supply length of up to 230mm. It can accommodate up to three 3.5-inch HDDs or four 2.5-inch HDDs and features seven PCI expansion slots. The front I/O panel includes one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, and one audio jack, along with D-RGB mode and color buttons.
In terms of cooling, the NV5 MKII can mount three 120mm fans at the top, supporting 120/240/360 liquid cooling; one 120mm fan at the rear, supporting 120 liquid cooling; three 120mm fans on the motherboard side, compatible with 120/240/360 liquid cooling; and one 120mm fan at the bottom for assisting GPU airflow cooling.
