Meta’s Vision for the Future: AI and MR at Connect 2024
Meta recently confirmed that its annual Connect conference will take place from September 25th to 26th, focusing on the exploration of artificial intelligence and mixed reality.
Previously, Meta announced the opening of its virtual reality headset operating system to third-party developers, renaming the original Meta Quest software to Meta Horizon OS. The initial collaboration will be with ASUS, Lenovo, and Microsoft to create virtual reality headsets using this operating system.
At the upcoming Meta Connect 2024 event, it is anticipated that Meta will showcase virtual reality products developed in collaboration with third-party developers and further its partnership with Microsoft Xbox.
Additionally, Meta is rumored to introduce a more entry-level model than the current Meta 3, possibly named Meta 3S, with further details expected during the event. The collaboration with Ray-Ban for smart glasses may also see updates, while news on the high-end Quest Pro successor may take longer to surface.
