iOS 18.1 beta version has added some Apple Intelligence features
At this year’s WWDC26, Apple unveiled a feature called Apple Intelligence, an AI-powered service that will be integrated into its three major operating systems: iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. These features will provide convenient AI assistance to devices, and in the latest beta versions, Apple has already begun testing some of the Apple Intelligence capabilities.
The new beta versions, iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1, include writing tools that support rewriting, proofreading, and summarizing paragraphs within first-party apps. Additionally, Siri has seen significant enhancements, allowing for a more natural transition from voice to typing, better recognition of fragmented sentences, and the ability to process consecutive commands.
Furthermore, natural language search has been expanded with new features such as creating memory clips and highlighting key points. However, the highly anticipated ChatGPT integration is still absent in this beta and is expected in future updates. Apple has indicated that the official versions of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia will be released this fall, though it seems Apple Intelligence might not be included in the initial September launch.
