ASUS unveiled the new Z790-AYW OC WIFI motherboard
Recently, ASUS unveiled the new Z790-AYW WIFI W motherboard, featuring an aesthetically pleasing pure white PCB and a robust 12+1 phase 60A Dr. Mos CPU power delivery system. Combining beauty with performance, this model surpasses its predecessors in both appearance and functionality.
However, recently, Bilibili content creator @饼哥bing shared his participation in testing a new product, the ASUS Z790-AYW OC WIFI motherboard. This motherboard employs a dual memory slot design and achieved impressive extreme overclocking results, as detailed below:
- 360 AIO Liquid Cooling: i5-14600K DDR5-8200 successfully tested
- Chiller Cooling Unit: i9-13900K DDR5-8800 successfully tested
- Chiller Cooling Unit: i9-14900K DDR5-8800 successfully tested
- Air Cooling: i5-14600K DDR5-10000 booted successfully
- Liquid Nitrogen: i9-14900KF DDR5-11150 successfully recorded
From the provided test photos, we can observe that compared to the Z790-AYW WIFI W, the Z790-AYW OC WIFI motherboard reverts to a conventional black PCB. The memory slots have been reduced from four to two, allowing for a more spacious component layout around the memory slots. Additionally, it includes a diagnostic display and onboard power, reset, and CMOS reset buttons for ease of use on open test benches.
According to information from overclocking.com, the ASUS Z790-AYW OC WIFI motherboard supports DDR5-8400+(OC) and retains the primary specifications of the Z790-AYW WIFI W.
As of now, the ASUS Z790-AYW OC WIFI motherboard has not been listed on the ASUS official website, and its detailed specifications remain unconfirmed. Nonetheless, this new motherboard is specifically designed for memory overclocking, positioning itself against similar high-performance competitors in the market.
