Sony has announced that teamLFG—a studio incubated by Bungie and headquartered in Bellevue, Washington—will officially join the PlayStation Studios family as a newly established development house. The team is set to create a team-based action game inspired by a diverse blend of genres, including fighting games, platformers, multiplayer online battle arenas (MOBAs), life simulators, and intriguingly, frog-themed games.
Members of teamLFG bring with them a rich legacy, having contributed to renowned titles such as Destiny, Halo, League of Legends, Fortnite, Roblox, and Rec Room. The studio places a strong emphasis on kinetic, real-time gameplay and dynamic, socially engaging virtual worlds.
The acronym “LFG” in teamLFG stands for “Looking For Group,” a name chosen to reflect the studio’s mission: to craft experiences where players can discover friendship, community, and a genuine sense of belonging.
teamLFG has also revealed plans to build an immersive multiplayer universe grounded in action gameplay—an experience designed to be endlessly engaging, rewarding players for mastering its systems over time. In a bold and inclusive move, the studio intends to invite players to participate early through game tests and feedback sessions, underscoring its commitment to shaping both the game and its community through real-time, player-driven insights.
