ASUS ROG Strix LC III: Cool Performance, Custom LCD Display
At CES 2024, ASUS unveiled the ROG STRIX LC III series all-in-one liquid coolers, built upon Asetek’s 7th generation V2 solution. These coolers, available in 240mm and 360mm sizes, feature exceptional cooling performance with straightforward installation. They come in various versions, including black and white color options, and offer a six-year warranty.
Recently, ASUS introduced an LCD version to the ROG STRIX LC III series, replacing the cooler head’s RGB “big eye” with an LCD screen to meet the demands of contemporary gamers. This new product is now listed on the international ASUS website, currently available in a 360mm ARGB version, with black and white color choices, and is expected to hit the market soon.
The ROG STRIX LC III LCD series features a 2.1-inch full-color IPS screen with a 480*480 resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. This screen can display various personalized animations, logos, images, and multiple themes, supporting 360° rotation. Additionally, it can be used for hardware monitoring, displaying temperature, voltage, fan speed, or frequency information via the Armoury Crate software.
The Asetek 7th generation V2 motor utilizes a new turbulent flow channel cold plate technology and an optimized pure copper base plate structure, providing superior thermal performance compared to traditional split-flow plates. The built-in sensor in the cooler head allows real-time monitoring of the coolant temperature and features dual-mode intelligent speed control, balancing performance, and noise levels. The internal structure has been refined multiple times and filled with new sound-absorbing materials, significantly reducing operational noise.
The ARGB model includes the ROG STRIX AF-12S ARGB fan, a custom high-performance fan supporting 0dB technology, which stops spinning at lower temperatures to reduce noise and dust accumulation. This fan employs axial technology for enhanced cooling performance, strong airflow, and features anti-vibration pads to minimize resonance noise. The fan’s maximum speed is 2200 RPM, with a maximum noise level of 36 dB, a maximum airflow of 70.38 CFM, and a maximum static pressure of 3.92 mmH2O. Both the cooler head and fan support customizable Aura Sync ARGB lighting effects, which can be easily adjusted with software to create a stunning case environment.
