Thermaltake Launches CTE E660 MX series Chassis
Thermaltake has announced the launch of the CTE E660 MX series chassis. This dual-chamber mid-tower case features an innovative Central Thermal Efficiency (CTE) design, supporting ASUS and MSI’s back-mounted motherboards, and comes in four color options: black, racing green, hydrangea blue, and snow white. It also offers three GPU installation options and interchangeable dual front panel designs, providing maximum build flexibility.
The CTE E660 MX series chassis measures 558.5 x 270 x 513 mm and supports standard Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, ATX, and E-ATX motherboards, as well as ATX back-mounted motherboards. Enhancing the thermal performance for high-end hardware, the motherboard is rotated 90 degrees, positioning the CPU and GPU closer to the front and rear panel air intakes, creating dedicated cooling channels. The cool air enters from multiple directions and is expelled through the top, ensuring optimal airflow paths for the overall chassis cooling system.
The left side of the chassis is equipped with a 4mm tempered glass panel, while the front offers two interchangeable panels: a tempered glass panel for aesthetics and a perforated metal panel for improved airflow. The chassis also includes a 400mm PCIe 4.0 riser cable, supporting vertical GPU installation, allowing users flexible choices for GPU positioning.
The CTE E660 MX series chassis provides up to three 3.5-inch drive bays (one convertible to 2.5 inches) and one 2.5-inch drive bay; a CPU cooler height limit of 166mm; GPU length limit of 415mm (with a radiator installed) or 443.8mm (without a radiator); and a power supply length limit of 220mm. The front I/O configuration includes one USB Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, and audio and microphone jacks.
For cooling fan placement, the front can accommodate three 120/140mm fans, supporting 120/140/240/280/360/420mm radiators; the side can fit three 120/140mm fans, supporting 120/140/240/280/360/420mm radiators; the rear can house three 120/140mm fans, supporting 120/140/240/280/360/420mm radiators; the top can install two 120mm fans, supporting 120/240mm radiators; and the bottom can hold three 120/140mm fans, supporting 120/140/240/280/360/420mm radiators.
