The technology sector continues to endure a wave of layoffs. According to data from Layoffs.fyi, approximately 150,000 individuals have lost their jobs in 2024. Among the companies implementing workforce reductions are some of the industry’s largest players, including Tesla, Amazon, Google, TikTok, Snap, and Microsoft.

In total, 529 companies have conducted layoffs this year.
