NVIDIA Unveils SFF Case Spec for Compact GeForce RTX Builds
In response to the growing market for compact systems, NVIDIA announced during the Computex 2024 keynote the introduction of a design specification for small system cases based on the installation requirements of GeForce graphics cards.
This design specification has been developed in collaboration with industry partners such as ASUS, Cooler Master, Fractal Design, GALAX, GIGABYTE, INNO3D, InWin, MSI, Palit, NZXT, PNY, SLIGER, Thermaltake, and Zotac. The specification focuses on graphics cards with dimensions of 304mm in length, 151mm in width, and a 2.5-slot width (approximately 50mm), ensuring the creation of compact system cases that are both suitable for use and easy to install.
Currently, the graphics cards compatible with this small system case design specification include NVIDIA‘s own GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER Founders Edition and GeForce RTX 4070 Founders Edition. OEM manufacturers such as ASUS, GALAX, GIGABYTE, INNO3D, MSI, Palit, PNY, and Zotac have also released graphics cards that adhere to this specification, primarily focusing on the GeForce RTX 4070, but also including specific models of the GeForce RTX 4080 and GeForce RTX 4070 Ti.
Case manufacturers such as ASUS, Cooler Master, Corsair, Fractal Design, InWin, Lian Li, MSI, NZXT, Phanteks, SilverStone, SLIGER, and Thermaltake have all produced compact system cases that conform to NVIDIA’s design specifications.
