Lenovo launches ThinkCentre Neo Ultra mini PC
Lenovo has announced the official launch of the ThinkCentre Neo Ultra mini PC, built on the Intel vPro enterprise platform, with a starting price of 3,299 AUD. This new product was first showcased at CES 2024 earlier this year. Featuring a compact design of just 3.6 liters, it not only includes a built-in power supply but also comes equipped with a dedicated graphics card.
The ThinkCentre Neo Ultra’s overall dimensions are 195 x 191 x 108 mm, and it weighs 3.5 kg. Its minimalist design, with a silver chassis, exudes a professional aesthetic. The official specifications boast a triple active cooling system, drawing in cool air from the top and expelling it from the bottom. However, there have been some changes since its initial presentation; the number of built-in fans has increased from three to four, indicating some internal structural modifications.
The new device offers a choice of Intel’s 14th generation Core processors, ranging from the Core i5-14500 (6P+8E) to the Core i9-14900 (8P+16E), with 35W TDP “T” series variants also available. It features the Q670 chipset and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 mobile GPU with 8GB of GDDR6 memory. The system includes two SO-DIMM slots, supporting up to 64GB of dual-channel DDR5-4800/5200/5600 memory, and two M.2 2280 slots, both PCIe 4.0 x4. Additionally, it supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, and it comes with a single 2W speaker. Unlike other similar products, the ThinkCentre Neo Ultra supports an independent M.2 NPU AI expansion card, a small co-processor offering around 20 TOPS of computing power.
In terms of interface configuration, the front panel features two USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C ports (20Gbps), two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports (10Gbps), and a 3.5mm audio jack. The rear panel includes two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports (10Gbps), two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports (5Gbps), a 1GbE network port, four DisplayPort 1.4a ports, one HDMI 2.1 TMDS port, and one HDMI 2.1a FRL port. Additionally, there are two optional expansion slots.
