Gigabyte officially releases AI TOP 100E SSD
At the recent COMPUTEX 2024, GIGABYTE unveiled the new AI TOP series. In addition to the previously leaked motherboards, the series includes graphics cards, power supplies, and SSDs, forming a product line specifically designed to meet AI productivity demands.
GIGABYTE has now officially announced the release of the AI TOP 100E SSD, which is designed to effortlessly handle the most demanding tasks, enhance durability, and improve AI workload responsiveness. This accelerates data processing speeds and boosts productivity, maximizing the system’s AI capabilities with greater endurance compared to standard SSDs, ensuring reliable data storage.
The AI TOP 100E SSD utilizes a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface and adheres to the M.2 2280 form factor, available in 1TB and 2TB capacities, equipped with 1GB and 2GB of LPDDR4 independent cache respectively. It boasts maximum sequential read/write speeds of 7200 MB/s and 6500 MB/s, with TBW ratings of an astonishing 109500 for 1TB and 219000 for 2TB, far surpassing typical SSDs and rivaling enterprise-grade products. This makes it highly suitable for intensive workloads such as AI training. Additionally, this SSD supports TRIM, dynamic write acceleration, and ECC error correction, and features a memory expansion pool designed for high-load AI training requirements.
GIGABYTE states that using the “AI TOP” application allows for offloading large dataset processing from the graphics card’s VRAM or the system’s RAM to the AI TOP 100E SSD. This method aims to expand the memory pool size, enabling users to fine-tune large AI models, which is why GIGABYTE has made it so durable.
GIGABYTE offers a five-year warranty for the AI TOP 100E SSD. The exact pricing and release date of the product remain undisclosed.
