GIGABYTE launches RTX 4070 Ti SUPER WINDFORCE MAX
Recently, Gigabyte introduced the new RTX 4070 Ti SUPER WINDFORCE MAX graphics card. The most significant difference between this model and the non-MAX version of the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER WINDFORCE lies in its larger size. The extended portion of the cooling module has been cut out to accommodate a side-exit design for the power connectors, enhancing the overall side appearance and installation compatibility of the system. It is noteworthy that this design is also employed in the newly released RTX 4080 SUPER and RTX 4090 D WINDFORCE models.
The overall dimensions of this graphics card are identical to those of the new RTX 4080 SUPER and RTX 4090 D WINDFORCE, measuring 331 x 136 x 55.5 mm, with a dual-slot bracket. It is equipped with the WindForce cooling system, featuring three 100mm fans with alternate spinning technology, a large copper base that makes direct contact with the GPU and VRAM, nine composite copper heat pipes, and a reinforced metal backplate. These features collectively maximize cooling efficiency. The metal backplate also includes mounting holes for the graphics card bracket, which connects to the motherboard’s mounting points, preventing the card from bending while maintaining the system’s aesthetic side profile.
However, the graphics card bracket may present some compatibility issues, requiring that components in the corresponding area of the motherboard are not too tall. For detailed information, refer to Gigabyte’s official documentation. The new graphics card also adopts a dual-BIOS design, allowing users to switch between OC (overclocking mode) and SILENT (silent mode), offering different user experiences. Overall, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER WINDFORCE MAX essentially utilizes the same mold as the new RTX 4090 D WINDFORCE (the RTX 4080 SUPER WINDFORCE features seven heat pipes).
The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER WINDFORCE MAX boasts 8,448 CUDA cores and 48MB of L2 cache. Its boost clock is 45MHz higher than the Nvidia reference specification, reaching 2,655MHz. It is equipped with 16GB of GDDR6X memory, with a 256-bit memory bus, a memory speed of 21Gbps, and a memory bandwidth of 672GB/s.
