ASUS releases RX 6500 XT DUAL V2 OC graphics card
ASUS has announced the release of the Dual Radeon RX 6500 XT V2 OC Edition 4GB GDDR6 graphics card. This is the second RX 6500 XT product in its Dual series, featuring a similar design to the original but without the previously included RGB lighting. Additionally, the aluminum heatsink has been modified, incorporating a 6mm heat pipe in direct contact with the GPU at the base.
The overall dimensions of the Dual Radeon RX 6500 XT V2 OC Edition 4GB GDDR6 are 201mm x 128mm x 40mm, making it highly compact. It employs a dual-fan cooling solution, utilizing two axial-tech fans with dual ball bearings. These fans feature smaller hubs to accommodate longer blades and a barrier ring to increase downward air pressure. The card supports 0dB technology, ensuring the fans stop spinning entirely when the GPU temperature is below 50°C and power consumption is low, thereby eliminating noise pollution. It also features a metal backplate that protects the PCB, aids in heat dissipation, and prevents PCB bending.
The new graphics card is powered by the RDNA 2 architecture-based Navi 24, manufactured using a 6nm process. It is equipped with 16 CUs, 1024 stream processors, 16MB of Infinity Cache, and 4GB of GDDR6 memory with a 64-bit interface and an 18 Gbps memory speed. ASUS has applied factory overclocking, with game and boost frequencies set at 2670 MHz and 2820 MHz, respectively. For display output, it includes one DisplayPort 1.4a and one HDMI 2.1 port. Power is supplied via a single 6-pin connector.
The product is manufactured using ASUS’s Auto-Extreme technology, an automated production process that completes all soldering tasks in a single pass. This reduces thermal strain on components and eliminates the need for highly acidic cleaning chemicals. This technology not only minimizes environmental impact and lowers energy consumption during production but also enhances product reliability.
