ASUS releases Dual Radeon RX 6600 V3 graphics card
ASUS has announced the launch of the Dual Radeon RX 6600 V3 8GB GDDR6 graphics card. This marks the third iteration of the Radeon RX 6600 within its Dual series, featuring a new cooler design. The good news is that it is more compact than its predecessors. ASUS has designated this design as the “new standard,” implying that future Dual series products will adopt a similar design.
The overall dimensions of the Dual Radeon RX 6600 V3 8GB GDDR6 are 219.2 x 121.2 x 40.5 mm, making it more compact than the previous version, which measured 243 x 134 x 49 mm. It is equipped with a dual-fan cooling solution, utilizing two axial-tech fans with dual ball bearings. These fans have smaller hubs to allow for longer blades and a barrier ring to increase downward air pressure. It supports 0dB technology, meaning the fans stop spinning entirely when the GPU is below 52°C and under low power consumption, ensuring zero noise pollution. The enhanced aluminum backplate fortifies the card’s structural integrity, helping prevent bending and effectively protecting components.
The graphics card offers dual BIOS functionality, with performance mode and quiet mode. In performance mode, the gaming/boost frequencies are 2064/2491 MHz, while in quiet mode, the gaming/boost frequencies are 2044/2491 MHz. Additionally, users can adjust and monitor the card using the GPU Tweak III software.
The new graphics card is manufactured using ASUS’s Auto-Extreme technology, an automated manufacturing process that completes all soldering in a single pass. This process reduces thermal strain on components and avoids the use of harsh cleaning chemicals. By employing this technology, ASUS minimizes environmental impact, lowers power consumption during production, and creates more reliable products.
