Asus Launches ExpertBook P5 Laptop: Equipped with Lunar Lake, weighs 1.3kg
Last month at COMPUTEX 2024, ASUS showcased the ExpertBook P5 (P5405) laptop. This business-oriented device features a 14-inch display and is powered by the Core Ultra 200V series mobile processors, codenamed “Lunar Lake.”
The ExpertBook P5 (P5405) product page is now live on ASUS’s official website, marking it as the company’s first laptop equipped with the Lunar Lake processor. While ASUS has refrained from specifying the exact processor model in its product description, promotional materials hint at the inclusion of next-generation Core Ultra processors, boasting NPU computing power exceeding 45 TOPS and a platform total computing power surpassing 100 TOPS, with AI performance tripling that of the first-generation Core Ultra processors codenamed “Meteor Lake.”
According to ASUS, the ExpertBook P5 features a sleek and modern design with an aluminum alloy body, weighing 1.3kg. It is equipped with a 14-inch matte display with a 2.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, supporting 180° opening and closing. The laptop offers up to 32GB of onboard LPDDR5X memory, dual M.2 slots, and a keyboard with a 1.5mm key travel. It supports Wi-Fi 7 and comes with a commercial-grade security BIOS that meets NIST-155 standards. The laptop also complies with MIL-STD 810H military standards and includes dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI, dual USB-A (10 Gbps), a 3.5mm audio jack, and a Kensington lock slot.
Given its focus on AI capabilities, ASUS has highlighted features such as AI-enhanced workflow with file search and meeting notes generation, adaptive screen brightness adjustment, adaptive lock, AI-based automatic classification of people and scenes in photos, AI microphone noise reduction, and AI voice recognition.
