AMD releases Ryzen chipset driver version 6.05.28.016
Recently, AMD released version 6.05.28.016 of the Ryzen chipset driver, compatible with various Ryzen and Ryzen Threadripper processors, encompassing chipsets such as A320, B350, X370, B450, X470, X399, A520, B550, X570, B650E/B650, X670E/X670, TRX40, TRX50, WRX80, and WRX90, all running on Windows 10/11 64-bit operating systems.
In this latest driver update, AMD has incorporated support for the Windows 11 24H2 version operating system, alongside new program support (likely the latest version of Ryzen Master), and has resolved several bugs, though specifics were not provided. In addition to providing drivers for various onboard interfaces of processors and chipsets, AMD also offers software-based processor power management (PPM) awareness for Windows operating systems.
Known issues include:
- Certain driver names may display in English on non-English operating systems.
- The uninstallation summary log might incorrectly show the uninstallation status as failed.
- Ryzen PPKG may occasionally fail to install/upgrade.
