Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Benchmarks Leak: Is This the New Mid-Range King?
Only about four months have passed since the release of the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 mobile platform, and reports suggest that Qualcomm is set to unveil a new SoC named the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 mobile platform.
According to Android Authority, blogger Yogesh Brar recently posted on the X platform, revealing the specific specifications of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 mobile platform. This SoC features a 1+3+4 tri-cluster architecture, consisting of one high-performance core clocked at 2.5GHz, three mid-performance cores with a maximum frequency of 2.4GHz, and four efficiency cores operating at 1.8GHz. Interestingly, the blogger noted that the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3’s GPU is based on the Adreno 810 architecture. The article highlights that Qualcomm has traditionally reserved the “Adreno 7xx” GPU architecture for its flagship SoCs and the “Adreno 6xx” GPU architecture for mid-range and entry-level SoCs. The naming of the GPU as “Adreno 810” might mislead consumers into believing that the graphics performance of this SoC surpasses that of flagship SoCs. The Geekbench scores for the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 have already been revealed, showing a single-core score of 1175 and a multi-core score of 3157, indicating a significant performance gap compared to the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (with the Xiaomi 14 scoring 2244 in single-core and 6820 in multi-core).
In addition to the specifications, Yogesh Brar mentioned that the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 mobile platform is slated for release next month, with the first smartphones featuring this new platform expected to debut as early as September. Known collaborating brands include Redmi, Realme, Motorola, and Vivo. The article suggests that, based on the previous generation, this SoC is likely to be used in devices priced between $300 and $500 (2182-3637 RMB).
